As I sit here staring
at a blank page,
the football game
fills the room with
noise.
My husband and son
are noisier still,
as they shout and cheer.

I'm remembering
those lovely summer days.
Sitting in my garden,
surrounded by beauty
and inspiration.
Writing my poetry
about the endless
wonder of it all,
and I feel sad.

So I prayed....
Lord, I need Your
inspiration.

He answers my prayer,
once more,
as the truth
is bright before me.

These two men in my life
are my living garden
in all seasons.
They fill my life with
love.
Two dear ones that Love me,
and are my gift,
and for them, Lord,
I thank You.

Ellie~
How brightly your garden blooms !
Taking time to be thankful for those around us is so important.

Now, lady - THAT'S tending your garden !

Ellie,
Sometimes, we cant see the forest for the trees, we overlook the treasures before us. If we are lucky, we appreciate them before we get seperated from our precious "gardens".
A wonderful reminder to appreciate the special treasure NOW!

Dear Ellie.
Somethings in life we may find especially appealing in so much as we are seemingly drawn to them, other things we need to discover on our own- and then the treasure of them is so much the more precious.  Why am I telling you these things?  It is obvious you already know this!   David

To put together words & rhyme--and touch a life--is so sublime! Thank God for such precious contact! (D.L.White)

Ellie I have to hand it to you, if you can write something so touching with all that noise. LOL

I can't think unless it's quiet. Well, I can think, I just can't write. LOL

Excellent Ellie!
