Whispering rain

With the coming of the dawn,
Falls the whispering rain reborn.
Soothing sounds in sweeping fall,
Swallows the sonance nightly call.

Lenient wood winds gently flow,
Quiet percussions very low.
Wetting down the swaying grain,
Drinking up the gentle rain.

Rampant clouds in careless dare,
Phasing out the suns aware,
Layering under mornings light,
Bringing back the secret night.

Blowing in the braking dawn,
Wetting down the misty morn.
Sharing all in brewed accord,
In compassionate reward.

And in the rains slurring whisper
Blew the droplets hitting crisper,
Changing mist to rain in flight,
Causing echoes through the night.

No mothers care in satisfy,
Could sing a sweeter lullaby.

Sy,

The sweetest sound to ever hear
Is rain's most delicate morning tear
To gently hit the waiting pane
And play life's rhythm once again
It is a lullaby so sweet
To put my weary soul to sleep
Words exquisite such as these
Put my weary mind at ease

Such a beautiful poem

This was the scene at my house last night and what I woke to this morning, quiet rain, surrounded by the woods. I love that and loved the poem. Thanks for that image

Sy,

I always thought my favorite poet
A Frenchman who wrote heavenly words
And made a line of poetry
Most beautious music ever heard
He wrote of raindrops in his heart
And pluttering on the roof above
With words that sounded just like rain
For this his poetry I love
But now I see his glory fade
For cometition can outdo
For you create a masterpiece
And now I am in awe of you

Elizabeth

Elizabeth,
Your rain of words upon my head
Has blown it up beyond its stead.
I've never been told of things so bold
For they seem to me words of gold.
All I see are fields of clover
And my cup surely runith over.

"No mothers care in satisfy, Could sing a sweeter lulluby" I love this line Sy...

And who to paint a better view
of what you speak, than only you
You've proven time and time again
'none else to match your style my friend
A work of art you've posted here
for all to read, and hold so dear.
