Has any one ever felt this way even though they know its not the object they are mad or sad at but the person themself? The hating of an object I hated that old truck It brought me the worse sort of luck A subject lughtly broached at first Quickly became an unquenchable thirst Instead of, I'll spend time with you I was left alone, sad and blue The truck needs help, fixing and restoring How could an heap of rust be alluring? That it was I'm striving to understand Alas, the truck is now your mate And I am a memory, an one night stand Matt, if you read this, then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about ------------------ Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. [This message has been edited by Cuddlez (edited 11-27-1999).] |

Well I have to admit I really don't like this poem. Its not my usual writing style and it reminds me of a bad time I had, but.... Thanks for the reply And as for being silly, I am but thats one of those things that makes me say "Aint life grand?" ------------------ Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

And I'm living one of them right now. I should add on to the poem This one night stand has moved on No longer do my hopes rest upon The thought of a miracle one She has realized there is more to life Than listening to others toils and strife Can you tell what I'm over? |

Not really one sided. He was too busy with other stuff, and I hung on. So now I'm pulling away and he's looking for more... Its going to be interesting to see what happens. The more to life part is fun to discover, too:-) |

I also had this problem, except he had an obsesson with his dog. He cared for it more than me. And the night he stood me up because his dog had a case of the "sniffles" was the night I said "Bye-bye baby" ------------------ If time cannot heal your pain, you can always cry on my shoulder. ~Jenn~ |

Hey, I really liked your poem, I love using analogies in poetry. They always seem to work so well and it did. Keep it up, ~Chadwyck ;') |
