Black are my thoughts as I roam through the darkness of life Everybody is looking for the bright light at the end of the tunnel I'll settle for a shade of grey or a tarnished lining for my cloud If I play my music loud enough maybe it will drown out the jagged screams and screeches of the song of life Everybody sings a private song noone is meant to hear so there is no harmony and if I can't help but hear it then I must scream out loud With every breath I take I'm that much closer to dying Another morning of sunshine leads to another mourning of crying All my questions unanswered for there is no truth without lying and only my bitterness keeps me trying Unfulfilled desires and stubborness keep me trying [This message has been edited by rascalx (edited 11-29-1999).] |

Strong, passionate words. Excellent poetry in my books! hey - keep trying, everyone can have the light at the end - I think it's also due in part to our effort. |

thanks for the kind words Severn...I'm optimistic that the light I am looking for is out there for me to find eventually |

I do like this so it needs to go back up - indeed Rascal, we're all looking for our lights. |

well done..your words paint a vivid picture of desperation...I hope you can find the words to paint a happier ending. :-) |

I liked this, Jeff. Dark, searching, determined. Very powerful. ------------------ It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |
