He whispers notions to the wind In perfect rhyme, a noble hymn He sings his troubles to the dune In pallid light of lighted moon Recites his poetry to the sea It echos back its eulogy He cries with fervor in his soul At that which makes his being whole And not a single word for me Though muted ear so hungry be Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, No muted tongue has he, He is listening to the sea. He listens with fervor in his soul For that which makes his being whole. And if you listen close like he, You will hear all the messages that be. Your poem is exquisite |

She hears his humble song When in the wind it's carried on It's chords to dreams give flight Underneath the pale moonlight As she watches out to sea The waves give rise to poetry Her heart in recourse cries Longing for his sweet replies But the wind will not comply It only blows his words on by And left there standing on the shore She longs to hear his voice once more Beautiful verse Elizabeth ------------------ "When you come to the edge of the light which is all you know. And are about to step off into the darkness that is unknown...Faith is knowing one of two things will happen...there will be something to stand on...or you will learn how to fly." -Unknown |

Elizabeth, if you need another bird to sing, and can't find one, there's something very wrong with this world. |

Pepper' I like the word stunning, to a little poem written as is was being posted, as are many of my verses. Thank you Sy I listen close But sometimes find It hard to read Between the line For I am one To think a thought And remember it As it was wrought And say a word As I was taught And so I say it As I ought I read a verse The very way The sun comes up At break of day Elizabeth |

Dear Elizabeth, A realist I used to be And sadness always followed me The broken wing is in your mind I do not mean to be unkind You do not break the wings of God He's given you a special nod And given you a special dare Use it with a special care You said you danced in traveled time So dance again in verse and rhyme. *L* |

Elizabeth - Again you pen perfection. Seymour - Again you pen the perfect reply. You two remind me of the ocean of the Pacific, coming to shore in waves ... made more beautiful by the boulders on which they crash. Such an array of emotions in the spray. So wonderful to watch the tale unfold, of one so shy and one so bold. If the true story were to be told, of such are made the fairy tales we hold. *Thanks to both of you for letting us have a balcony room with a view. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Sy' Not a realist by name Romanticist is what I claim And though I soar the world around I've still a finger on the ground Things need not be so exact But then again not so abstract And sometimes I may miss the point So question I would then appoint And that is why the spoken word At times by muted ear need heard Elizabeth |

Marge, Again a verse so sweetly told But which the shy and which the bold? Shy is what I claim to be In the shadow of his timidity So which is which and what is what Tell us now or tell us not Oh! Mystery lady of the birds Please sing the answers to be heard Would that the answer spoken word The sweetest voice I've ever heard Elizabeth |

I may fly on broken wing Songs like yours, I may not sing But of my dreams, I've not lost sight And someday soon, I'll soar in flight A single feather's all I got To some it may not be a lot But, I've hope and a will to try So with that feather I will fly With friends like you and many more There's no way I can not soar ------------------ "When you come to the edge of the light which is all you know. And are about to step off into the darkness that is unknown...Faith is knowing one of two things will happen...there will be something to stand on...or you will learn how to fly." -Unknown |

Dearest Elizabeth, I am sure that you see far beyond his timidity. Harken yet the shy refrain, thinking now in versed reply, from the pen of shyness knoweth you'll rely, on words so sweet they'll not pass him by. The shy, the bold so plain to see ... he brought out the poetess in thee. In return you filled his inkwell ... with verse so soft ... Oh, my the stories that you two do tell ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marge Little Margie know it all She has got an eagle's claw An eagle's eye, an eagle's flight And relishes in pure delight She sees the things that I don't see And grabs them with felicity And then she soars and sets them free I wish she lived next door to me Marge, how about lunch, I've got some questions Elizabeth |

This is just TOO GOOD to flop over to page two. I'm bringing it to the top again. I love the charisma between you two wonderful poets. Thanks for letting us play around the perimeter of your writings. Were I to want a neighbor new, Elizabeth, I too, would pick you. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marge, Thank you neighbor, Thank you friend For bringing up this page again For it has yet to me be told Which is the shy and which the bold I think the shy one, it is I But then again, I think he's shy And you, my dear, need not be told Are very, very, very bold! Elizabeth |

My friend - It's as plain as the face on your nose ! That's as far as this story goes. Playing devil's advocate I am, or cupid with a cute little bow. You, demurely shy. Seymour as bold as they come. Or, you as bold as he ... and he as shy as thee. Flip a coin, win the toss ... Heads, you're shy. Tails, he's the boss. Then on the other hand, perhaps you've met your match. Bold lady of rhyme ... this flirtation you did hatch ! And then of course if you both are shy ... that leaves BOLD to me. I plead guilty, with glee ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Yes, Elizabeth. We'll have lunch. Come on down ... I've got a hunch, it isn't lunch you have in store but perhaps to merely pick my brain for more. I thought I answered satisfactorily but if in doubt then wait and see. Come on down to the sunny south ... lunch with Elizabeth ... WELL, HUSH MY MOUTH ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I don't dare to join the poetry chain until a proper intoduction is made and I count you as a friend, Elizabeth - but you seem to bring out inspiration in people and I think that is a true gift! |

Dear Severn, No introduction needed here Just chime right in and have no fear This is a special poet's place And no one seems to have a face And some don't even want to talk At which the muted ear just balks So hungry are our eyes for words We relish in darkangel's birds So hungry are our minds for thought We learn what other bards have taught So eager are our souds to pour Out the quill of poet's door So Severn please, step right in A muted ear is just a sin Elizabeth |

Elizabeth The dove and the swan will one day meet Into their arms they will each other greet The dove will leave the eagle by the sea Because he sings for others, not for thee The swan will swim on and on Until he hears the lonely dove's song For her song is also his own And together, this song will grow They will teach each other the songs of life And help each other through times of strife Their songs will reach the heavens above For theirs is the song of love. We all embrace in stormy weather Knowing we must hold together Letting go means a fall From the mountain tall Back to the place where mortals tread Where fear equals a living dread ------------------ Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |
