The requiem of rain

Soliloquize of driving rain
Smashes at the window pane
Bursting into rabid splutter
Echoing some insane mutter.

And booming thunder riles in mirth,
As lighting Gods smite the earth
And trees droop in shivering shutter
As shaking leaves insanely flutter.

And every smite a strike of awe,
As rain descends in maddening more,
Howling in a ghostly boil
Digging at the muddy soil.

And lunacy rules the hour
Smiting with horrendous power.
Beating down the weak and meek
But giving life a lively tweak.

In the pattern of the rain,
Lies a friendly of refrain,
Refreshing all the life on earth
Where the new of seed give birth.

What I do not understand,
Is the firmament disband?
The fierceness, the change so bold,
The callousness for the old.

But I, be of this process vend
And sadly await my own end.

Oh, how with the tales you tell
You entice me in your spell
The web of words you write so fine
And pour your heart in every line
Here in awe I humbly sit
Digest your poem bit by bit
And marvel at your talents grand
Which through test of time will stand

Wonderful as always Seymore

Excellent piece, of course! As always!

(you ain't never seen rain 'till you've seen a Florida downpour! Drove one time for six hours in one of your infamous storms!)

He captivates the meadow lark
He imitates the feeding shark
With frenzied phrase of vision stark

Hoot,
Flattery will get you every where.
Thank you, thank you.
Denise,
You are the kindest of the kind, thank you.
Elizabeth,
You have showered me with roses petals
And have even picked away the nettles.
How in heaven can I brew,
A bouquet of flattery as clever as you?

Wonderful piece, Sy,
I read much into this one...found it quite chilling, actually. The callousness of change is there for the young also, my friend.

I had my doubts but now it's clear.
I hope you had a nice holiday, welcome back.
Pepper,
You know I'm alergic to pepper but not to you. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
