You are Honey

You are the honey spilled on the picnic table
and I am the fly, inescapeably held by it's sweetness.
I
sink
deeper
into the honey

until we are one spot.

And I am not afraid
while you hold me.
If you turn me lose,
I'll know that I will perish.
Until then I will not want to escape.
For I am fly and you are honey.
