A Dear friend of mine from Oklahoma has asked that I send him this poem, and two others for a book he's having published...It's not a book of Poetry, but of his life and some of the interesting and strange people he's met....(Don't guess I need to tell ya what category I fall into do I?).... I know you've heard of the Titanic, The Movie's brought this ship much fame, The loss of life was tragic, But did ya hear 'bout the Mayonnaise? Hellmann's Mayonaisse was from England, The Titanic had twelve thousand jars, It was lost in the sinking, And sandwich lovers grieved from afar. The whole world mourned the loss, "How would we make salads with our potatoes?" So they declared a day of mourning; And called it "Sinko de Mayo." |

I'm giving a copy of this one to Bob Ballard - He's a really down to earth guy - I'm sure he'll appreciate it... I think he's opened a new store in Wood's Hole selling the stuff... |
