God's Windowsill A yearling fawn its thirst does slake, At waters edge of ox-bow lake, Tranquil pool of burnished glass, Rimmed by sea of blue-stemmed grass, As Helios sets in cloudless sky, Chinook's warm winds have brought spring's thaw, In cottonwood, black crow does caw, Whispers of a pulsing breeze, Singing nature's harmonies, A great blue heron stands sentinel, In silent guard of hidden dell. A young boy tops a nearby crest, And finds a rock on which to rest, Then for an instant, time stands still, As boy sits on, God's windowsill. |

have you ever thought of getting it published? ------------------ "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34 |

Mike ... I read this before also ... it is breathtakingly beautiful. Reminds me of how I feel when I go to the mountains of North Carolina and sit on the porch of the chalet, overlooking what must surely be ... God's Windowsill. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Beautiful Mike, I remember this from last time you posted it. If you want to submit this to a publisher, let me know. I can give you some addresses of ones that would be interested. Ruth |
