This Day Today I will take one word And thus make it sing; Today I will free one bird And help give it wing; Today I will smile at you And allow you to be; Today I will laugh with you And pray you laugh with me. Today I will cherish all things Just because they are here; Today I will give of myself, Because I hold me dear; Today I will face my fear And fly straight in its face; Today I will hold you close And be nourished from your embrace. Today I will do, and be, my best And know if I fail, I tried, the test. Sy, I hope to be a light to someone today, and in the hereafter, wherever that may be for any and every one. I've made just enough mistakes in my past, all I want to do is rid myself of them in the best way I've always known, but failed to follow. Hopefully, I will end up being a good lesson to others. |
