a flower called iloveyounot

young hearts race, never heeding advice
vows exchanged, curtains hung,
a family started, young love,
he loves me.
but I ask, what is love?

my days are filled, love is hate
and hate is anger
and did you know the sun doesn't shine
on the angry?
what is love and
is there a flower called the
"i love you not"?

closed heart, closed curtains
anger, and years of hurt,
you held others
and i, knowing, plucking petals as i
walked in your footsteps
loved another too.

irreparable damage done.
but shall i go back and change a thing?
no, had i not stepped,
i would have never known real love
my heart forever changed.

Iloveit: So true my friend...I'm not sure about a flower called "I love you not" but there's certainly once called "No going back once love has gone"..

Big husg my friend, well written..

As with all things in nature, that flower requires two things, one seed and water...Not one person alone can ruin a relationship. I am elated at your expression though sorry for your loss. At least you know that the love you have would not have been except for the love you lost.

Iloveit: As RS said so well, there's nothing worse than when your thirst can't be quenched...now please don't have visions of me sitting here with my tongue hanging out..*g*...so unladylike...ROFL

Oh, geesh... can I turn the hose on RG? Can I hunh? Please??? Thoughts of the water droplets glistening in the sun and creating rainbows beat thoughts of her sitting there panting! LOL.

I like the curtain analogy, Lovey... Well done!
