A life began
That never died.
In the hearts of many,
He has survived.

His birth is known,
Throughout all lands,
The birth of this child,
Not fathered by man.

His grace and wisdom,
Those he has blessed,
The child of Mary,
Fathered by God's breath.

Whether believer or not,
Tis the season for giving,
To your friends and your family,
The reason for living

Give thanks to your God,
Give love to your neighbor,
Do this today,
For there may be "no later"

If I could make
Just one Holiday wish,
It would be for a hug from my father,
And my mother's sweet kiss.

For gifts have no value,
I want none for myself,
But your friends and your family,
Are where you'll find wealth.

Beautiful and so well spoken...I like seeing your serious side from time to time...
Missing the banter between you and LJA, but he's deep in work again, and getting deeper until the end of the year I fear.

Absolutely beautiful, Toerag... I became a rich woman when you gave me your friendship! Thank you for this wonderful reminder that there's more to Christmas than frantic shopping and trimmed trees. I hope yours is a wonderful one!

I am with you, I'll buy no gifts
I told my children flat
My gifts this year are from the heart
A poem - and that is that.

Toe,
He stuck in his thumb
and pulled out a plumb.
Well you stuck in your toe,
And now we all know.
Well done my friend.

Toe.. I've enjoyed reading every word you have written & shared with us. In 1999 I found a new home & friends that I hope to get to know better in the year 2000. Happy Holidays (early)!!!

A big double thumbs up on this one Sir Toe. Heck... I'll even throw in a couple of big toes too... Like the feeling on this one, and the flow.

I am very glad that this season is not about shopping and gifts. If it were I would be a poor woman indeed. I have wealth beyand my imagination in my family and few true friends. I have also been blessed with a second home that I treasure. For that I thank Ron.

Thank you one and all for the very sweet comments and "Best Holiday Wishes" you've offered...This isn't my favorite time of year, but it is a time of year to think, remember, respect, and spread good cheer. I hope all of you do this, and receive this during these next few weeks....

ROFL @ JTF... Brat! *G*

Toerag: It's not a favorite time of year for many of us... *S* Which is why I particularly appreciate you focusing my attention on what the season is all about, dear friend.

For the cheer you give throughout the year, I hope you are richly blessed.... and may the love and smiles you give so generously be returned to you tenfold.
