Leaving Passions for a while. Have got some things to do.Here's one last thought before I go. But I'll be reading you. THE NEW MILLENNIUM (A message to my Grandchildren) Open up the gates and let the new millenium through! It will bring so many unknown wondrous things to you Just as the small computer chip has altered life, it seems Your dreams will be a thousand fold the depth of my own dreams Technology has tread upon archaic paths it found It made the world seem smaller and tore an iron curtain down It's moving faster than a falling star or the spinning of the earth May it always bring to humankind benefits of worth Just imagine all the wonderful revelations to be seen! You will have experiences beyond my wildest dreams May the new millenium offer you fulfillment of your goals As it marches in and takes control with fervor in its soul May you profit from its glory in every single way But not lose sight of things that progress tends to take away Faith in God, respect for man, love of family Reverence for all living things on land and in the sea You may soar around the planet, you may walk the ocean floor But remember that the rainbow's end is at your kitchen door Don't let opulence detract you from small pleasures that you know For NOTHING will surpass the splendor of a cardinal in the snow Elizabeth Santos |
