Christmas 'round the tree |

I was walking down the road Just as happy as can be And all the snow upon the trees Was glistening back at me! I saw a happy squirrel As he paused upon a rail And chattered 'bout some nut he'd found And pointed with his tail! I saw a pretty sparrow As she perched upon a wire She sang a song ( I sang along! - We made a pretty choir! ) The squirrel conducted from a branch Just as the song began - "Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas!" Did you hear us while we sang? We had a happy party As we danced around the tree And we wished you Merry Christmas! Just as Merry as can be! Kevin |

Kevin - This has a lovely lilting cadence to it. What a pleasant Christmas morning find. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
