Shangri-la My life of late seems so complete, Wrapped in a package of love so neat. But has brought me, to an impasse of dwell, Which time is for which and which is well? I live the one and I dwell the other. Something never taught by my mother. I try so hard to savor them both And tender both their loving growth. It is a garden of amassing grace. With two entrances to the place. In one door and out the other. My shangri-la of discover. God grant me the wisdom of a Buddha I am the sculptor and the author. For I hear the nightingales troll And Its trill has captured my soul. And I pray the lord my souls upkeep, Until the time of my permanent sleep. |

Wondrous verse my friend. Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© ------------------------------------------------------- "Either kill me or take me as I am, because I'll be damned if I ever change..." Count Donatien Alphonse Francois de Sade (Marquis de Sade) |

Seymour - Lovely place ... that Shangri-La. You linger in the garden for a long time, you hear? Beautiful thoughts. Hope you and yours are enjoying a wonderful Christmas. Love ~Marge~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Sy, Life is not a Shangri-la For Shangri-la is just a dream But there is sure within each heart A secret garden it would seem For what is life without a dream Without a sense of life's complete But soul must choose the garden gate To lead it not to right's defeat It is by far the better road Of following the course it knows But now and then along the way It's nice to stop and smell the rose Love ya, Liz |

...and here it goes UP again! May God grant us all the wisdom we need. Merry Christmas, Seymour! Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |

I hear three voices in this, Sy. Something not taught by my mother - LOL! The voice of the wry bemused. Wrapped in a package of love so neat - the voice of the tender. God grant me the wisdom - the voice of feeling helplessness. A complementary mix incorporated in a beautiful poem - and I guess that over your words, I am one of those swooning ladies that Liz describes...! K |
