Evening shadows begin to fall, and the sky turns from blue to orange and red. Colors reflect off the water, mirroring the sky, as the sun sets on the ocean itself. Amidst all that beauty, I fail to notice anything but the spark in your eyes. You pull me closer to the edge of the cliff so that I may see nature at her finest and in doing so, you reach for my hand. “Don’t worry,” you smile and say, “I won’t let you fall.” Cant you see? ...I’m already falling. "I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. Hootessa This is terrific. I like the way you opened this poem by setting the scene, then introduced the situation so cleanly over the top of it, and finally linked in the double meaning of falling. (I also like the way you show all that skin in your picture... oops). |

Ruth, What you paint upon my heart...I share here today with all who might look How you become more lovely each day I will never know. But this I do know. Should you fall.......Don't be surprised when I fall too.....or more so....that you find me there having fell before you and it is I who breaks your fall because no greater honor could I have than to catch this falling star that you are to me  Golden Dreams to you Ruth....I am but a thought away......and a feeling shared Share what you are for you are what you share |
