The only cure for loneliness- Is not to be alone. And if a soul is homesick- The only cure is home. Only warmth will drive the chill Bring comfort to a room... And only love will serve to end The brokenhearted’s gloom. Only peace can cause a house To be a place of rest. And only marriage built on trust Can stand life’s strain and stress. A word of comfort’s meaningless If you do not speak it- And hope will die upon the vine Unless we rise to seek it. Apathy will drive one mad- So, pray, do not despair... For somewhere in this world of ours There's someone who will care. From "The Outlaw Josey Wales": "Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy". and..."Aclose second is a poor finish, in a fight to the Death". ~GS~ http://www.geocities.com/montcogunslinger/HomePage.html |

Yep! Sometimes what we are focusing on determines how we see things. We have to get ouside of 'ourselves' and focus on 'others' to know true happiness, I believe. Great poem! Denise |
