My soul has long seeked The glitter of my dreams Reaching outward Towards the silver skies Wanting only Acceptance. My heart once yearned To be understood A tender hand to hold A soft embrace Wishing only for A friend. I once felt abandoned Within this world Iced over Closed from life Needing only To be lifted up. In the light of your eyes My body emmersed I am now whole So safe here Wrapped within the cloak Of you. Upon warming wings I fly As you carress my face And whisper tenderly I know now You are where I belong. ~Jeff, you are my world, and I love you more than anything~ *Krista Knutson* ~Only within the depths of the most ominous darkness can the beauty of light truly be understood~ |

Veyr nicely written Alwye and I like the form you used here...just a discussion I had with another poet about free verse the other day...who says free verse can't be formed? The format work well with this. Nicely done |
