In the Flutter of a Wing It's in the dew of early morn It's in the nectar of a flower It's dancing in the lilt of laughter And hanging gently from the bower It's in the flutter of a wing And floating on a summer cloud Chanting songs in rain's soft putters Leaves of oak in reverence bowed It's whispered in a baby's breath And glowing from a child's smile An entity invisible Yet there before me all the while I feel it with me in the springtime In the forest's every nook It's swirling in the sparkling water Playfully in babbling brook It's in the height of tender kiss It's perched in winter's holly tree And woven in and out among Melodic strains of poetry I see it in an ocean wave And in a stallion's graceful stance On rippled pond, in nighttime sky And in a peacock's stately prance I would not dare to live without it I take it with me everywhere It fills my heart with joy unequalled An ecstacy beyond compare It's in my heart, it's in my mind It's blowing on the willow leaf It is my love of life I speak of And my spirit's true belief It's in the flutter of a wing It's in the early morning dew Right beside my love of life It is the love I have for you Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 12-18-1999).] |

And this poem could lift the darkness right out of any demon. Wow - gracefully beautiful, Liz. Wow. Love the sentences - and the title is a true breath of poetry. K |

Exquisite and breathtaking, Elizabeth A joy to read, truly! It's not the love you fear, but the fall from the height~Edwin McCain |

Elizabeth, Two exquisites for this one. The title is beautiful but after I read it I thought more." The wings of essence " *L* ya Sy |
