The hardest thing that one can do- Is delve inside the mind.. Within the crannies and the cracks, Not knowing what they’ll find. Deeds, and dreams from long ago We tried so to forget- Aspirations, evil things- We never shall confess. To glimpse the evil of our hearts Perversion of our souls.... Sufficient torture for the worst Worse than a bed of coals. Ah, wretch! The saddest sight of all Which one can ever see.... Is when the enemy is met- I see that he is me. |
