               NightFall

While the crickets sing and the saccade's cry
I sit here and wonder at the beauty of the sky
The pastel colours created by the setting sun
There's no wonder Nature shares its passion

When the pastel colours slowly turn to slate
Patiently the dark velvet night I do await
The shimmering stars will come out to play
And the golden moon will light the way

For all of the creatures great and small
To find their way, during nightfall
The saccade's lay themselves to rest
For their passions have been expressed

Lovers dance under the Mystic moon
While with their emotions it does attune
I sit here and wonder at the beauty of the sky
Wanting to sing and wanting to cry.

What comes from the heart goes to the heart.
Samuel Coleridge

Hon, this is so beautiful! I know just the feeling you have here...you've expressed it with passion...you must be writing with those angel wings of yours!   Lovely!

I love what you write
I love your "velvet night"
Don't cry, for you shall have

Wow DA - I love this! I often look up at the sky and am just totally blown away by the beauty of it - sometimes I think people take the beauty around them for granted. You expressed this beautifully, I can actually see it. Well done.

Huggs.......
