This is by my 11 year old brother and Severn's surrogate brother, but he wrote it when he was six. It has been stuck on the kitchen wall since then, and I FINALLY convinced him to post it! >Seaangel

~*~*~

Autumn leaves flipping down,
twirling, swirling,
round and round.

Autumn leaves deciduous and evergreen,
golden brown and red and yellow.

Autumn leaves covering the town,
covering the whole city.

Autumn leaves making patterns,
on the other trees.

Autumn leaves, tickle and
crunch under my feet.

Autumn leaves rustling, gently
on the ground.

Autumn leaves nestling together,
with a slight cuddly cuddle.

Autumn leaves fluttering to the crackling,
crunchy, prickly ground.

Autumn leaves flipping down,
twirling, swirling,
round and round.

What a beautiful poem! But somebody's pulling my leg about the age of the poet!
Don't think I could have done better.
I liked all the sounds of the poem. Made me feel like I was walking through the leaves.
I certainly hope we hear more from this young poet.
Good work, Andy!

What a great poem. I love it! I could hear it and see it.  You have a great talent with words, Andy.  Keep writing, okay.  It is a wonderful and fun thing to do. Have a great Christmas summertime.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Andy this is a wonderful poem...but please do tell me someone helped you with this one. I do not know of any 6 year olds that know what the word "deciduous" means. Heck I must have been 16 when I learned that one. Which just happens to have been two short years ago. (okay guys, he doesn't know any better, he's new here  )

Welcome to Passions, Andy! This is a great poem! I can't believe you wrote this when you were only six! Are you like a genius or something?! Very very nice! Please post your other poems here too, as I am sure you must have quite a few!

Thanks everyone heaps
I learned DECIDUOUS in a spelling test for that topic so I can say my teacher helped, not to mention Severn for spell-checking it, and Seaangel for helping me put it on.
