I love my Lady for her gentle praise.
Her compassion shines through in all she does.
She lifts me up when my conscience weighs.
My Lady sees me not what I once was.
Only she sees the truth behind my mask.
Her words soothe both my Beast and inner child.
I would save the world if she did but ask.
Her feminine wiles have kept me beguiled.
Of female virtue is she paradigm.
Her quiet voice woke my sleeping reason.
She is the height I aspire to climb.
I love her more with each passing season.
Her mercurial moods are my delight.
On angel's wings does our love take flight.

"Her mercurial moods are my delight"

How apt -- few people would claim to like mercurial moods, but I have the feeling you are quite sincere.  Apparently the two of you are made for each other ...

...and if you tell me that this was another of your poetic exercises, and not truly a tribute to your Lady, I'll ... well, I'll be very upset!!

Dream, this is exquisitely beautiful....How I do admire your soft and romantic side, as oppose to your being forlorn.  Although, I know that all your emotions make up who you are, and I do admire you, and your expression in your writing.  You truly have a gift, and I want to say that I hope your holidays are filled with cheer, and happiness.  I will continue to read on...as you have shared many works with us of late!

What a lovely tribute, DreamEvivl! I enjoyed reading it as I am sure your Lady did.

Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

I need to write a whole lot more sonnets to catch up to Willie, but I am working on it.
