If romantic moods require delight then must your embrace inspire delight. I live for the time I might know your touch. The rush of your touch is dire delight. Magic enchantment is cast by your words. Your silken voice sets afire delight. My mind is jaded by all that I see. Lost in your eyes I find higher delight. Yours is the love I've dreamed of all my life. Your mind eclipses all prior delight. ©1999 DreamEvil Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. I can hear the musical quality to this one, it makes me want to sing....can you hear it? I am a Life Purpose Coach who specializes in assisting men and women to clarify their Life Purpose and then in turn live true to their purpose. After 5 years working with the Severely Mentally Ill in County Mental Health, I gave up the bureaucracy (and safe, secure blanket) of this environment to pursue my own purpose and passion. |

"The rush of your touch is dire delight .." Love the use of "dire" and "delight" together ... they are seemingly unrelated, but it makes them all the more effective when you put them together! --Kess You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |

Ah Dream, this is musically magical! I agree with all that was stated above! I just wanted to keep reading, it was so fresh - like spring air, to my soul. Thank you for sharing probably one of my favorites of yours! Back to the top for more to enjoy! ***curtsies - - - If I can just touch you once, then I feel I have accomplished what I am called to do...- - pFF |

Interesting use of words in this one..and there's a cadence to it that flows nicely from one verse to another... |

I echo all the above Scott, a beautiful read indeed. What comes from the heart goes to the heart. Samuel Coleridge |

For those interested, the poem format I used is called a ghazal. It is a format from Iran (10th Century B.C.). It also follows the radif convention, meaning that the phrase or words just preceeding the end refrain (delight) must rhyme in each second line of every couplet. The word "ghazal" actually means "talking to women."< !signature--> Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. Hmmm, honestly Scott the repitition here doesn't work for me, but there is some very effective imagery... "The rush of your touch is dire delight." and "My mind is jaded by all that I see. Lost in your eyes I find higher delight." |
