Forgive me father, for I could not stay, my heart bled deep, it's been eight years today. Forgive me, for I had to weep, for all the lost memories- unable to keep. Forgive me father, for I was so weak, still unable to find inner peace. Forgive me, for I've yet to let you go, I still wonder why- still yearn for more. Forgive me father, for my bitterness inside, I still can't justify the reason that you died. Forgive me, for willing your spirit here, yet your presence marks true- the death we shouldn't fear. |

It's only been a year for me and Christmas number two, but I feel much the same. There are loved ones that come and go, but a parent has near the deepest hold on our heart. My thoughts will be with you this holiday season. |

I want to thank you all for your kind words at such a hard time of the year. I still try to remain happy at Christmas, but it's strainful to say the least. RS- my thoughts will be with you also, take care. |

I know its hard this time of year when you lose someone you love. I wrote this poem, maybe it will bring you some comfort to know that your loved ones will always be there. Message From Above If you ever need me, I can tell you where I’ll be. High above the clouds, Where only God can see. Don’t cry, don’t be sad, Do not shed any tears for me. I am in the most perfect hands, Our Lord and Savior, the Almighty. Remember me always, As I will remember you. Looking down from Heaven, Just as the angels do. When you miss me… And if the tears begin to fall, Just know that I’m all around you… I’m never far at all. This will never be goodbye. Travis- I want to thank you for this beautiful poem, it meant alot to me and made alot of sense. I agree with what you're saying but this time of year will always hold less joy than was intented. much love to you my friend. |
