Fermented juices and toxic wine

Kindled questions scourge my night,
Lighting areas I would not light.
Fermenting juices of my brain.
With toxic wines of potent strain.

And in the glasses medleys warm,
Lit with silver of ghostly form.
Erotica in as bold a toast,
As any I could boast or host.

I know not why these demons lie.
It's not my wakeful nature, not I.
But desires seem to crash in waves
And make my mind go into raves.

What curse is this that steals my peace?
What answer there, could give release?
I'd gladly lay my amour down,
Even if I would a clown.

So in dilemma, here I lie
And wrestle with my devils Why?

Sy,
Your verse is beautiful as usual
Exquisite words and lyric fine
I have but one request to make
Can I have a little of that wine?
Sounds great!

Elizabeth,
For pity sake, for pity sake,
Take all that you can take.
Loved your response,
Love you. Sy

Sy....(sigh).....

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Another great poem from Seymour! It's like routine for you. You never ceases to amaze me. I hope I don't offend anybody but you are the best poet on this board. Your imagery and the way you use and compose your words is unlike any other I've seen on this board. In fact your syle kind of reminds me of Robert Frost. Once again, great poem and I hope you keep it up!

Sy, another beauty - slightly confounding on first read, but I suspect you wouldn't have it any other way - so I'm off to read it again!

Great poem as usual Sy.  What kind of wine did you say that was? The nightly devil's brew, made just for you.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Mike,
Big thanks.
Nate,
You haven't read Balladeer,Nan,Michael or poetdeVine. The only thing Of Frost about me is my nose. But a big thanks to you.
Severn,
What ever is between the lines I know you will find. *L*
Matrie,
It's private stock. *L*
Balladeer,
You are a master of quips and the only thing
of Frost about me, as I said bebore is my nose, sometimes.

So open up and find release!
The drink you choose won't bring you peace.
Suspecting with your armor down,
Not one would find you act a clown.

Quite a poem, Seymour ...

What a fine kettle of fish
that would be ...
Seymour snockered
on a little Chablis`

Seymour the ~Frosty~ poet
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows!

After a bottle
of good Red Wine ...
dancing on the rooftop
would be fine.

Seymour the ~Frosty~ poet,
Passion's friends all agree.
He's just the sort
to 'pop a cork' ...
and with friends of his
to consort !

The questions of
the devils sot ...
is not why ...
but WHY NOT ?

Given the choice
'Tween words or wine
I'll chose your words
They are so fine
And drunken on
Your poetry
Stronger than wine
I'd rather be
The bite is milder
And in the 'morn
I won't be wishing
I was never born

Seymore, I can get drunk on your words and not have to nurse a hangover in the morning
