I can't stop this scribblin hand from jackhammerin across this page

About an old man with a wormy beard talking to his kingdom
Pushing it in a cart down the dirty veiny streets he calls home
He sleeps on wet cardboard soaked in light under a doorway
You and I staring ahead not knowing what to say.

I cant stop this scribblin hand from cryin across this page

I remember you sat in bed your back against the headboard
My head in your lap as you read to me enveloped and reassured
But today melts and tomorrow keeps sliding towards forever
I had forgotten how easily forever crumbles into never

I can't stop this scribblin hand from dancin across this page

For ballons quietly smirking over aluminum foil lakes
When leaves change their clothes proudly and the nakedness they make
For slinky silhouettes in reeded meadows suggesting allure
For waves that spit thick foamy presents when invited to the shore

I cant stop this scribblin hand............

Oh gees! First I want to say a big Welcome! This is the first of your poetry I've read as far as I know...and I simply loved this! How unique - and wow, do you have a way with painting an image in the reader's mind as he/she reads!! Fabulous! With each stanza I read, I could actually see and FEEL what was going on! It's been a long time since someone has been able to paint in my mind like you just did! You just have to post more! I'll certainly be looking for ya! Bravo !!!
