tender touch

standing on the morning sand
he looked into the depth of me
and felt the strength of undertow
pulling ever close to me
a tender touch
upon my face
a fleeting moment
come and gone
just the way he touched me with his hand
a happiness I'd never known
a tender stroke
of love divine
will last me
for the rest of time

Elizabeth Santos

Elizabeth this took me back in time. I once experienced a touch like this. To experience it once more would be bliss, but your words help bring back to my life the things I miss. Thanks so much. I love it.

Elizabeth, my friend - BEAUTIFULLY REMEMBERED

The look, the touch
they mean so much.
Written on the hearts pages
to last through all the ages.

Mine to keep
mine to remember,
giving my all
to sweet surrender.

Elizabeth,
A beautiful bouquet, did you say thank you?

Wonderfully painted my friend. . .
Your palette is indeed multi-colored. . .

That which gives light must endure burning

What can I say that hasn't been said.  Just thought I'd like to let you know that I like the poem.  It captures a moment so perfectly.  A moment which I imagine we all long for.

To the ladies, I knew you would feel the undertow

To the men, Yes, I will say thank you when I get the bouquet, but this touch was only in my imagination

E:

This is very, very good.  It has the quality of truth about it, and truth has a ring to it that is difficult to hide or disguise.  Write  more like this . . . simple  thoughts, vivid word pictures.  Bully for you.
