What A Night It Was ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 What a night it was, a night to behold. Of one being born and one growing old. Of one life lived and one beginning. One looking forward, one looking back, one seeing light, one seeing black. Oh, what a night it was. The new babe just opening his eyes Father Time coming to realize, life has it's beginning life has it's end. Between those two destinations, is living, my friend. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

We're born with no teeth We're born with no hair We're born with wrinkles Everywhere. We die with no teeth We die with no hair We die with wrinkles Everywhere. Living's what happens Between the two. I'll do mine to the fullest. How about you? |

Great poem Marge. So between the beginning and the end we need to live life to the fullest. |

I loved how you put it, Marge. Great job! It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Life’s Rhythm The time was before and in the dark a trickle of soft light beguiled me glistening my eyes A violence I had not known angled me then upside down I cried The time was after and in the dark a trickle of soft light beguiled me glistening my eyes A violence long forgotten showed me life’s rhythm as I died What's left is the living, definitely the best part! Loved your poem Marge--and you. |
