Tis the story as it's told of a babe in a manger born many years ago. Two people walk hand in hand bringing joy into that far off land. A man, a woman, a child to be, He shall be born for you, for me. The angels hover all around, guarding the stable there in Bethlehem. Then in the stillness of the night, a miracle came to set things right. He had no place to lay his head, so he was placed in a manger bed. The shepherds came from distant fields, to see if what they had heard was real. Then following one lone star, wisemen came bringing gifts from afar. But the greatest gift that was given on that day... was the gift of our saviour's birthday. And so it was, so shall it be. God gave Christmas to you, to me. B Gravitt |
