My search for love |

My search for love I searched the world and touched each crop From valleys low, to mountain top. Flew as far as the albatross. And never did I shed this cross. I searched the wind, the sun, the moon, In the morning the day and the afternoon. I searched the night in candle light. And lit each corner with its light. I searched the edges of myself. As only one can search oneself. I dug into the darkest corner, Searched it like a lonely mourner. But the song of love would not be heard. Nor could I find that invisible bird. And sadness filled a cavity, I thought that love would never be. And then one dark I prayed the night And swore to God, I'd do it right. If he would only give me sight, To see that invisible and unbound light. And he touched my eyes to see my life And I woke up, to the face of my wife. |

Seymour - That is a truly lovely tribute to your wife. How very, very sweet. It just flows with love. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

This is lovely, Sy! This sings, really. I know how it feels when the one you love doesn't appreciate your art. I don't know about you but, it matters to me!!!! |
