Inside every fat man is a Thin man sruggling to be free. I give all my support To the thin man wihin me. I count calories and grams of fat For each morsel that I eat. Even so, it's my gut feeling That Slim will go down to defeat. I'll diet for days on end, So that, triumphant, he'll emerge. But how can poor Slim hold out Against Fatty's eating urge? |

LMAO at this!! What an original topic! I really find this quite humerous, although it is a real struggle many face nowadays - - I myself have to practice self-discipline. "Slim" not only needs to eat smarter, but he needs to jog a bit, or tone up some of that muscle that's dying to flex!! You're right, inside all of us, there is sometimes someone else trying to get out !! If this is something you wrote as a personal statement, I should just say, keep trying, tone those muscles as you feed them properly - - and you will see a difference eventually! Well Dom....I've had weight problems before....Now I run, work out at the gym almost nightly, punch the heavy bag about a thousand times a night....then, being the "concerned of my health kinda guy I am", go drink about a dozen "lite" beers, eat a huge steak, a huge baked potato, a huge salad with tons of bleu cheese dressing, half'a loaf of freshly baked french bread with a stick of real butter, and chase it down with one or two Long Island Teas....Now, I'm not overweight, but, I'll probably die from cholesterol, blood pressure, lung cancer, or cirrhosis of the liver. Or I may be lucky? Somebody will just beat me to death when I stick my nose in their business? But yanno? No matter how much ya weigh, no matter how ya look, or what ya eat or drink, we're all gonna die someday?....So? Die happy, enjoy life, and laugh a whole bunch....cuz that's all there is that's really truly treasured in my life....the ability to laugh at myself when I screw up, (which is frequently)...I could care less of what others think of me, and except for my kids and the very few friends I have....I could just give a **** about anything else?...."Inside every man, (or woman) whether fat or skinny, there's something beautiful....whether it be humor, personality, kindness, or just plain courtesy,....I learned a long time ago that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Sex and looks and money are so far down my list of "wants" in a person, lover or friend, that I just quit carrying that bottom half of my list with me these days...."A human heart on the operating table....is just an organ...a human heart with a mind to make it work like God intended, is the most beautiful thing the human race has to offer......" |

Dom...I'm gonna delete the above post...I think I kinda took it too seriously...I know you were creating humor....and I kind of twisted it into a serious "book" of something else.....LOL...You're poem was very well done and I too liked the humor and reality it portrayed.... |
