THE WARRIOR by ©Richard J. Budig I am a warrior. I hold my hand to the flame To remind me of the pain I inflict. I slit my finger with my sword To sense the swiftness of my action. In a puff, I extinguish the flame To sense the finality of what I do. And in the curl of rising smoke, I am reminded of something greater than I, The Warrior. |
