I've been sitting here for hours Thinking of something to write. But thoughts are spinning wildly. They disappear into the night. Stumbling on to a writers block. Just can't seem to begin. Feeling like a square peg in a circle. Forcing a line to fit in. I think I'll just go to bed. Perhaps tomorrow my mind will open. New inspirations will come my way. Then I'll be back again. When I awoke this morning, Guess what I did find? That once again last night, I dreamed my dreams in rhyme. Bursting with inspirations I rush into my room, To write them down on paper Before they leave me soon. From my pen to paper They begin to flow. All the images that came to mind Not so long ago. They come to me so fast. It's hard to write them down. I'm starting to lose some of them, They are falling to the ground. I quickly gather them up These images from my heart. And again from pen to paper I scribble a new start. Tonight beside my bed A pen and paper I will keep. To jot down all my thoughts That come to me in sleep. |

Oh, my goodness, Eloise - I do it all the time. Eat, sleep and work with poems traveling my mind. Sometimes I might not be quick enough to put them down ... I'm glad the rhymes come back for a second round. *Lovely thoughts in this one. I enjoyed it. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
