Sex has become practically
meaningless
My only sport of choice
The only contact sport I enjoy
no competition
Well, sort of
But it can ruin things
Feelings, friendships, hearts, love, thoughts, ideas, songs, moods, bodies...
Who would've guessed?
Sure, we've been told-
But who really wants to tell it
Just like it is, and
therefore ruin it for us-
Who want to find out for ourselves
Because who wants to listen?
It's a denial trip
It'll be differernt with me
But it's not
It'll be different the next time
And each and every time after
But it's always the same
And it gets worse
It gets better in the physical sense
But worse in every other
possible way
Sex is like a drug
Addicting
Always fun
But after- it's not fun
And that's what eats away
At you
Time after
Meaningless time.

Yep, I gotta agree with Nan on this one. When it's not with someone we care about and done for sport, then I'm sure it can become pretty meaningless.

Welcome to Passions. I have to Ditto both Nan and WhtDove. Although you named it right...done for sport it is sex. You ned to learn how to make love. There is nothing in comparison!!

I must ditto all the above and add my thoughts. When sex is a sport, it involves only the physical. Making love involves all the emotional as well as the physical. If done for sport you are short-changing yourself and I can understand why that would be a big disappointment. Find someone you can love! Then if you are both making love, it's a different ball game!

I have experienced love-making, and casual sex both. So I know how both of them can make you feel, and I know that making love can be a joyous and wonderful experience. This is just a poem about my casual sexual experiences, which can get out of control. Thank you for your thoughts.
