Last night as I lay sleeping, love, A vision came to me. It was of you and I, my love, A wondrous sight to see. And in the dream I had, my love, I reached and touched your face I clasped you hand in mine, my love, And felt your warm embrace. I pressed my lips to yours, my love, To taste your kiss so sweet You held me for a minute, love, In this moment that did fleet. I wakened from the dream, my love, With a thought of you that stayed With me throughout the day, my love, And never once did fade. ------------------ Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |

Fishing was great, Denise. I caught a couple nice ones, but of course you should have seen the one that got away. FYI everyone, I just wanted to say this was based on a dream I really had-very, very sweet! ------------------ Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |

Lucky dreamer! This is very well done - like the use of the word 'fleet'. |

Will the 'real' Elizabeth please stand up! Elizabeth - This had to be a LOVELY dream. And I love fishing too. Twin Elizabeth's, how swell. I am sure we'll be able to tell them apart by the words in their heart. But, now that I think about it, seems to me ... they BOTH have hearts as big as can be. Well, whatever. I can tell ... double Elizabeth's are really swell ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I AM the real Elizabeth! Really I am! See, I was here first, look on my profile and see that I was registered when these forums opened back in June! Hehe~well, Elizabeth Santos has her last name on, so that's how we'll be able to tell. Oh, and before I forget, thank you for your kindness, Marge. It is nice to have you here at Passions. Recently, I returned from a three week hiatus to find many new members and poems to read (what a pleasant surprise!) and you are among them, along with my "twin" Elizabeth. So welcome to you both! Thanks again Marge! ------------------ Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |
