My girlfreind who's a nut-case figured she would send to me
twelve gifts for my apartment which will hardly hold the tree.
Instead of shipping one a day she shipped them all by truck
and sent them to me freight collect, I owe $2000.00 bucks!

The partridge ate the pears, got sick, and threw up on the floor.
The turtle doves did likewise for they share a true repoire.
The french hens were delicious with a side of calling bird,
the gold rings were just ring-tones ( real gold is much preferred!)

Which brings us to the six damn geese that crapped all over hell,
they're sittin' in my freezer 'til the Christmas dinner bell.
The swans were too darn pretty so I set the suckers free,
but, not before they wrecked the place and totalled out my tree !

The maids and I are doing fine since they gave up their cows,
I never tire of hearing them exclaim with oohs! and Wows!
The drummers were annoying me as were the pipers too,
I packed them back up with the lords and shipped 'em all to you.

Eleven ladies dancing with my maids makes just nineteeen,
I'm thinkin' this might be the best darn Christmas I have seen !

P.S.
Oh Mike, your band is on the way, I wish you all the luck.
for once again they're freight collect, so Merry Christmas, schmuck!

I really enjoyed reading your poem, Dr. Moose. It was a tough assignment you had...and you've done it well on a topic has been much written and pretty much exhausted.  Mark

Marc-Andre,
Thanks, Balladeer rarely opts for "easy" but, like you, I'm here to learn and have some fun doing so.

If you've had at least as much fun writing it as I had fun reading it, it was time well-spent indeed Mark

Okay, I am laughing just like you knew I would.  This is wonderful --

and just one more thing,

There was no doubt in my mind you would be the one who could do justice to this assignment and you didn't disappoint.

You da man, Moose...er, you da Moose, man...whatever.

Merry Christmas, my friend....from the schmuck

BRAVO!!! I hope I can do half as well with my assignment.

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

Marc,
Now you know it was way more fun to write.
Doc

Nakd,
Thanks, but nah, it will go away.
Doc

Alison,
No , it was true. I've offered to delete myself from this forum more than once. At times it seems I'm interfering with the learning process, or discouraging others from participating in some way, neither of which is my intent. Oh well, we'll see.
Doc

Balladeer,
Well, what can I say other than I use the term as one of "endeerment". You do tend to inspire m'friend, and hooves down you've got the skills
and knowledge to back it up, while I on the other hand, have to rely on wit and what I can pick up from your tutelege. Merry Christmas Teach!
Doc

Lucie,
Thanks, and I look forward to your assignment, watch out though, Balladeer's checking them twice.

Hod to check it out and I am so happy I did.  You did a superb job in completing your assignment and even ended up with 19 stocking stuffers to boot.  Now that is what I call maximizing your potential.  Laughed and enjoyed all the way through.  Happy Holidays to you.

Doc, I always knew you were a fruitcake, but you've proven today you're much more than that! Great job Doc! I hope you realize how much it took to admit this?
