Lest we be judged too quick to be a fool,
each move we make becoming more suspect,
slow down, sounds good as quite the golden rule,
submitting my fifth lesson with respect.

Or, maybe not, depends if one observes
new information as it would appear.
Cross-checked against the present learning curve
or, subject to the whims of Balladeer.

Myself, I'm glad that he came here to teach
prepared for class with patience unexcelled
like Job, although that might be quite a reach,
exactly why I'm apt to be expelled.

Today I think I'll try some subterfuge,
escaping undetected would be huge!

Pete,
Thank you very much. Iambic pentameter actually seems to flow the easiest for me,
although I am fond of anapestic meter. The trochaic meter was more difficult, I thought.
Once upon a time, I tried dactylic meter,
perhaps we should revisit it?

Teaching is easy when students are willing.
Students are willing when teachers are kind.
Lessons are learned when one feels the filling
Poetry does to a curious mind.

Moose, you're a wizard at all kinds of meter.
You can do wonders with movements of pen.
Surely dactylic would not make you teeter.
It is the rythm of Paul and his men.

,,,,and who is Jobe, btw?

Balladeer,
OOPS, if I remove the "E" I think it'll make more sense. I really must start proof reading these things better, that and not relying on an unreliable memory. Thanks.

One fact you can rely on Doc. An unreliable memory is a reliable feature of age. That is, so I've been told, if my unreliable memory serves me reliably.

Pete,
Lol, funny thing is I didn't realize how old I was 'till I got here and even now I've got a pretty good case of denial going
on. Oh well they say with age comes experience, and it's been my experience that
ocassionally you can slip something past even the most scrutinizing individuals by hiding it in plain sight.

Nah Doc, it was the 'Stute that kept you young. You should not have let them escape. Now you face the consequences... old!

It was, as always, a pleasure to read your work Doc.
