An Ode to Normalcy “Sententious”, no one could ever dub me. In fields of normalcy I tread. No great words flow from these lips. Of great philosophers I have not read. But, I’ve enjoyed reading the poetry of the wind. I’ve listened as it’s spoken to me answering my questions again and again. Acknowledgement I have found by looking up into the sky. Explanations long searched for, in smallest whispers lie. I’ve not sat within select groups that talk about the “deeper” things. I merely long for the simple life and dream of the peace that it’ll bring. In purest moments I’ve found enlightenment. No deep sacred secret to be found. Not with the elite and their proud speech but with a humble child with feet aground. My answers lay not in the wisdom of nobles. Their higher ways are not my own. I do not wish to reach great heights measured by men remembered in stone. I enjoy the words of beauty spoken by those moved to tell. However, I enjoy with an appreciative ear Not a dissection of all that we can expel. To be common I have sought. The normal life we’ve all forgot; not a burden, but my chosen lot. Do not look down on the simple things As though we have moved on. Progress never meant to forget these given things that all life once was built upon. Not something to overcome or find a way to evolve from; They are the final memories we’ll have when our walk in this system is done. |

"Normalcy" is too boring of an existence to even consider... HOWEVR... this write is not normal at all... in fact it is quite "ab"normal... Great job. But now the animal is in pain... |
