Sunset

Sweet sunset so often described,
Poet’s pallet empty and canvas covered
Yet majesty daily reigns down.

Sand in toes escaping cool water’s kiss,
Face the west, eyes towards flames quest,
SEE the sun, attention to one.

Sun spot flare, focus narrow there,
Stationary sentinel set, Voila, la lumiére arrêtte!
Laissez faire la terre tourné.

Heavenly traveler sweeps you away from the
Sun. Rush of blood acceleration back,
The sun does not set, the earth turns away…

Like the Poet from his eternal Flame.
