All righty my poetic pals - These seventh graders will be checking to see how you liked their work.... ~Sara T~ Grey clouds above like Nina's wool sweaters hugging the world tight with love ~Colin~ The cold winds blow hard I sit inside and shiver My feet feel like ice ~Brittany~ The ocean rumbles It is endless miles of sea So mysterious ~Shannon~ A place of laughter And a place where joy is known Walk in a forest ~Molly~ The dark starry night The moon's light shining brightly Upon the silent city ~Jana~ Soft night melody Tapping at my window pane I slip into sleep ~Ashley~ All stars above me And all the world around me Keep me safe from harm ~Caitlin~ Frozen lake like a Mirror reflecting my face Brings everyone joy ~no name~ The wind is howling So hard now it bends the trees See the aftermath ~Sarah~ The grass is lime green The sky is sapphire blue Colors fill the world ~Grace~ The trees are all green the water is crystal clean Mother Nature IS ~Jaime~ A storm is coming The wind is awfully strong It will soon be hear ~Dominique~ The wind is blowing Red and orange leaves falling The winter is near ~Chelsie~ The forest is cool There are trees all around me Quiet surrounds me Next I'll have them doing sonnets...... It amazes me that with such fine young minds to work with, that you bother with the lot of us at all, Nan. Beautiful thoughts from fine young poets and poetesses. --Kess [This message has been edited by Skyfyre (edited 11-27-1999).] |

*clap clap clap* I think I am going to stop writing now I have just been shown up by every single one of ya'all! Nan, You have some very talented students, and darnit I wish you were my 7th grade teacher LoL. I hope they are all encouraged to keep writing, who knows, maybe one of them can be the Poe of the new millenium Again, great job all of you! ------------------ ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. They are all good. I especially like Shannon's forest poem, with its paralleling first and second lines and the resolution in the third line. I too am fond of the woods. I could also say that I wish you were my seventh grade English teacher, except that I know that I didn't appreciate the ones I had. And you wouldn't deserve a student like me. |
