Shadow, Light Terza Rima Life halts at times on a vast overpass where one may come to a pause at the crest, looking below to view rillets of glass gleaming, pondering every life’s test, standing shadow’s length, diffusion of light as side by side they sit, silent, at rest. They exist, moving toward dark of night, as radiance stops, shadows blend to naught, where memories are stars, remaining bright. Here, at one’s cresting, life’s loving is sought, as remaining days are payback of debt through hands in sharing, life’s lessons are taught. Glassy rillets gleam in western sunset, As shadow, and light, seem not to forget. ~*~ Photo: K. R. Jungel, 2002 ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 12 October 2002 |

What a pleasure to open this sunshiny piece of work. You've developed a wonderful theme... of the balance of dark and light... Where there's one, the other is shortly to remind and reflect... as a glorious metaphor of lifes joys and tribulations... Nicely done, Karilea.. |
