I think I'd like to write a poem or two
To see how many changes I can do
Taking care to not erase the flow
Watching out for each foot as I go.
As i write every line in a way
So as not to erase my display.
Can it work out? Who can say?
Happily I will just play.

I know that though the flow must go like glass
I will instill my will to make it pass.
Then, if I should succeed, it will fulfill a need
And make me proud indeed that I could do it.
Should someone say to me, "I love your poetry"
I'll answer happily, "There's nothing to it!"

But, as poets we all know
That it ain't necessarily so.
To be craftsmen we must use
Every method that there is to choose.

So work on every technique in the book
You can do
And you will unleash the poet inside
That is you.

Very clever , entertaining, and educational.
A wonderful lesson in meter

(I see you noticed my bust)
You don't miss a thing!

Well Balladeer, I am trying to work on all of the techniques. I don't think I am getting very far on them, though. Maybe someday, I will get it.

??? "Should someone say to me, "I love your poetry" " ???

I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...
I love your poetry ...

(I need some program code that shows the above as an endless repetative loop)

Wonderful change-ups in form Michael .......... I "loved" this!

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Ok, it's clever but not one of your best. Seriously, I don't know how you could mix that much into such a short poem. It's sort of like a micro version of Kit's feet thing.

Thanks,
Pete

Well, of course I knew it was not intended to be your best. In fact not even close. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mean to belittle this one any either. Still think you did a great job of mixing in a little of just about everything that could have been mixed.

BTW, playing the sonata is a lot more fun that scales
