We need some comic relief, folks... At least I do.. This MAY be a month for some FunniNess... Whatcha think? Shall we toss in a little imagery for good measure? Some Alliteration, Assonance, whatever? Munda's helping out - She's always good for a laugh... A Simile is as easy as pie, but a Metaphor is a piece of cake ~*~ Nancy Ness |

Hey Nan, I don't want to sound dumb or anything, but, what is Alliteration, Assonance? I did my Villanelle. |

Dear "Teach", Alliteration, assonance, imagery, and, comic relief? (Does it get any better than this?). I can hardly contain myself.I better get out by the go-round with Marge before I plumb explode! Doc |

Leave it to Marge to plot a way to go outside and play while the rest are working amusingly away at some di-versified amusement... Justin Genious... We'll be happy to have you brighten up the place... Here are a couple of examples of imagery for you, SmartChickie... Alliteration is simply the repetition of consonant sounds in verse. "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers"..... It doesn't have to be every word in a line - just enough to set a repetitive pattern. Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds within verse. "Tall feet, short feet/Feet, Feet, Feet/How many different feet you meet" Onomatopoeia is the use of words that are spelled much like they sound. Pop - Bang - Woof - Meow - Moo - Woosh - and all those great "Batman" words...ZONK!!! Watch out for exploding Mooses, everyone!!... |

I tried to post in here Miss Nan, but somehow it seems I need written permission, so instead I have posted my topic here: /pip/Forum69/HTML/001921.html A thousand and one apologies Miss Mysteria, but I couldn't help myself after your comment here in the Workshop when you said your brain was in a knot and how easily you laugh. I suppose you are an inspiration! |
