Nan it's February, time to gather in
all the little chicks to want to learn and win
time to start the class with a subject new
when you call the roll, remember I'm here too
A sonnet, a sonnet
or something in a nonet
or perhaps a vilanelle
I liked those things very well
do not suggest a paradelle
those long repeats came from hell
perhaps we could break the fast
by rhyming words first and last
no more acrostics 501
the palindromic was not fun
something easy would be good
something new if we could
this is just to let you know
it's February so let's go!

blues is good
from this hood
if in iamic meter
what about a tale
of a whale
or prose by Paul or Peter
Nan I say
begin this day
the month is moving on
twenty-eight days
too little for plays
it's time to learn our song.

How about some competition, friends? Let's see who can construct the PERFECT love poem! We can all vote on them and the winner gets... well, honor and respect from their peers. Any form or style may be used. That may be a horrible idea, but hey! It was worth a shot!

This weekend has been really a pain ... On Friday night, I dozed for an hour at about 6:30 - only to wake up - ready to take on the forums.. and my electricity went out for the remainder of the evening...

Then on Saturday I went shoppiing with my daughter - because Bradlees is closing forever - I was going to buy some underwear - but I found some on the racks that had been obviously used and was there for unsuspecting shoppers... needless to say, I didn't buy any...

Then I went for a hike through a holly tree reservation with my munchkins... and came home starving...

So I decided to have some white clam sauce & linguini.... well, I dumped the whole bowl on my ergonomic keyboard... I had chunks of clams between all the keys... and oily pesto juice seepiing down into it...

Needless to say - I had to go out and buy a new one... and of course, I had to go back to the store to get the proper adaptor for my computer - because I can never do anything like that in one trip... and....

Now it's Sunday.... I'm hiding out...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.
