So, I'm currently working through Stephen Fry's "The Ode Less Travelled", with its many poetry exercises. If anyone would be interested in joining me, I will post up some of the exercises here in the poetry workshop, and my attempts to complete them. I have reached Anapestic Hexameters, which are: t't'tum t't'tum t't'tum t't'tum t't'tum t't'tum The existential squirrel... In the woods stood the stump of a tree with a squirrel inside of its core But its core with its rotten detritus of wood flesh and littered with leaves Couldn't leave any viewer a view of the shambles of life on the floor Of the floor of the wood where lie shattered remains of that squirrel's beliefs. |

Well, I admire your ability to study these different forms of poetry and to succeed in performing like you did here. I think it takes a great deal of talent and patience. I hope some others will join you, as for me I totally lack the patience needed . It's good though to revive the poetry workshop! Thank you! Margherita |
