You held me in your arms
And taught me how to fly
You shared your heart with me
You shared your smile
You gave me all I have
You made me all I am
And showered me with love all the while
But you never taught me
how to live without you
You never told me
I'd be left alone
You never said I'd feel this pain
Now I'll never be the same
Without you I feel
My wings are made of stone
I look back on the days
When I was a child
When I walked by your side
Holding your hand
The innocence of youth
Kept sacred your life
But the truth behind death
I now understand
Will I never again
Relax in your embrace
Share all of your thoughts
Feel sheltered from harm
When I close my eyes
My broken heart cries
To rest in the safety
Of my father's arms

Wow.  I am very sorry that this happened.  I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a parent.  You wrote so beautifully, and it came right from the heart.  Again, i'm sorry.  Keep up the good work!
