Snow falls in the midst of June Changes the perspective of everything seen One by one, the leaves begin to fall And what is left are the ghosts of summer It's like screams heard in the dead of night The scared children hide from the fright Nothing is disturbed when the spirits come out They dance in the streets and wander about Touching the souls of each and everyone Telling them the season of revel has begun Poverty, pain, and percerverance All they need is some assurance "It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE |

Hey, if someone replies to this, i wanna say thank you in advance. And i also have a question. I was going through my poems and i noticed that alot- if not all- of them are of depressive moods, of sad tales, of loss..i was just wondering if that was a common theme in poetry...thank you "It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE |

I liked this. You always use good descriptive words. I write about the stuff that usually goes on in my life, so my stuff is USUALLY depressing or sad, but i have a few that are "happy" when my day goes right. Are your days bad/sad? If you ever need to talk, feel free to e-mail me [email protected] (:***Stephani***:) "A true friend will always stay a friend whether or not you feel as though the friendship or relationship is about to end." |

poetry... is the written expression of extreme moods... all art is... why would you want to write about blah in-the-middle moods? i mean hey .. that could be cause for speculation... but i'm just saying ... depression/sad stuff is one of the greatest motivating forces in arts (especially poetry) since the beginin of time.... well depression and love... two of the unexplained emotions we must experience... but that'z just my 2 centz.. ![]() Regret for things you did maybe tempered by time, regret for things you Didn't do, however, is inconsolable... -------823------- |

I love this poem. It's great. Let me say that I think poetry can be anyway you want it to be. Sad, happy, whatever. It doesn't have to rhyme. It's whatever you feel and want to express in any way you see fit. Any way you see as beautiful and I think so far, you're doing a darn good job. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. |
