I loved you for the love you gave me I loved you for the love you let me give you I loved you for the love we have no more I loved you for the kisses you gave I loved you for the love we made. I want to hate you for the love you lied about I want to hate you for the insults you gave I want to hate you for the drugs I want to hate you for the beer I want to hate you for the cheating I want to hate you for the flirting I want to hate you for the abuse I want to hate you, but I can't I'm trying I really am Please make me hate you If I hate you I wont hurt. |

Although i dont always practice what i preach, i have always believed in honesty is the best policy (My working policy is: When in doubt, lie). Lying to others is easy, it when we try to lie to oursevles when it get sticky. Abuse is never heathy, and niether are durgs and alcohol (Alcohol is a drug, BTW), you got out of the relationship to protect yourself. Words really dont mean a whole lot right after the fact, but time does heal, though i remind that nothing ever quite heals right. If that relationship was what its cracked up to be, you had every right to get out of it. Your poem really bleeds emotion, to love and lose, tragedies of the heart...Well, this is life, no one every said it was easy...or fair...or even sane. ---------------------- Spreading insanity, one post at a time |

Wowie....tough stuff your talking about. It's really hard to go through all that stuff and come out sane. You have to try to tell yourself that what he did was wrong, no matter how attached you feel to him, because this denial will not help you. Great post as well! It's easy to love someone and hate what they do, but you have to help this person if you really love him. These are serious problems that he probably can't conquer alone.
