Heather (An Innocent kiss)

Laying under the sky, remembering your shy green eyes,
Yet the sky is not calm, there is thunder…harsh and real.
Something inside of you, to steal your life, your future.
Not my strife, I warned you, why wouldn’t you listen?
Just some innocent kissin’?

Don’t come running to me now,
I have no key, not to release you from this,
This, it all starting with an innocent kiss!

I told you to take no risk,
But you said there was none in an innocent kiss!
True that was not the risk, but it led to another.
This, it all starting with an innocent kiss!

Oh Heather, I wish you’d told me weather you needed my help,
Too late, but I still scold you…
Nothing I can do to end this endless blue,
This, it all starting with an innocent kiss!

I played my part, but the end was up to you,
You chose wrong, and broke my heart, poor shy girl.
Don’t cry, I won’t miss this, I’ll be there in the end,
This, it all starting with an innocent kiss!

Ok, this is written about a friend of mine that is two months pregnant...she's only 14 and a half.  It really blows me away whenever i think about it.  Such a waste.  I told her a millions times to use a damn *ucking condom...grr!
You know its funny, earlier today i hugged her and said it would be alright, what a lie, theres not way it'll be alright!!  Even this poem is a bloody lie, i wont be there, i can't be, we're moving, damnit.  Sometimes i wonder is life is worth it, nothing but hurt and disappointment...oh well, its not like i almost cry whenever i see her, wait nevermind...

Ok, sorry guys, but this is really getting to me.  please excuse the langauge.

I'm so sorry for what happened. True, such things usually start with an innocent kiss... You should try to be there for her as much as you can.

And as for life being worth it, look around you. Look at the beauty, look at love, look at what God has given us. Yes, it's worth it. If you need to talk, you can e-mail me.

A beautiful poem about a topic that hits close to home for me. I really felt your pain and frustration. True things are not "alright" in the sense of what we think but just remember God has a purpose for everything. If you need to talk you can E-mail me at

Because when you love someone you control their version
of reality. If you lie to them that's like making them
autistic so that what they believe is reality is in fact,
not their true situation at all."

It's not the angry words that break the heart, it's the silence.

Someone said that true love is like a ghost -- often spoke of but never seen.
I've seen both and yet in my darkest hours, tend to believe that neither exits.

Thanks alot guys...i really mean that.

I feel much better today, but it still blows me away...only 14.  This was less a poem and more an controled explosion of anger, at her, and myself for for letting it happen (grant it, there wasn't a whole lot i could do, but there had to be something!) anyway, i guess i should stop trying to mentally twist my internal organs and figure some way for her to keep the baby, which is what she wants....

Good poem...and you're right.  people have to be more careful about what they're doing and think about the concequences (sp?) of their actions...all you can do is try to be there for her...good luck.
